Pittsburgh Steelers 2011 Preseason Schedule
Today I received a twitter post from CBS Sports with the Pittsburgh Steelers 2011 preseason schedule. I’ve created a new schedule page which can be found here or by clicking the menu above.
Update:
The Pittsburgh Steelers 2011 Regular Season Schedule was released. I updated my page for the 2011 season. Let’s go Steelers!
Super Bowl XLV
Congratulations to the Green Bay Packers on winning Super Bowl XLV. It was a gut-wrenching game for me. Green Bay took advantage of the three turnovers, one ranback for a touchdown.
We enjoyed the game at a neighbors house. Plenty of drinks, pepperoni rolls, buffalo chicken bites, buffalo cheese dip, and fondue dessert. The kids played nicely in the basement and watched the half time show performed by the Black Eyed Peas. We enjoyed the show and the Doritos commercials.
I guess I’ll follow hockey (Pittsburgh Penguins currently in second place one game behind the Philadelphia Flyers) till the end of the season and wait for pre-season in August.
Pittsburgh Steelers Win AFC Championship
Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Steelers on winning the AFC Championship Game!! This is the sixth time the Steelers have won the AFC title at Home and this will be the eighth time the Steelers are going to the Super Bowl. I have already ordered my AFC Championship cap and will be getting ready for the big game on February 6th.
I would also like to say congratulations to the Green Bay Packers. I don’t follow the Packers too much, but I know several folks in Delaware who are loyal Packers fans and will be rooting for a packers win. I think the Steelers fans will be louder. I wonder, will be see more Terrible Towels waving or Cheeseheads.
Here is a song from a Tweet that came across my screen from Steelersaddicts.com. Enjoy!

AFC Championship Game in Pittsburgh
The Jets defeated the Patriots tonight 28-21. That means the AFC Championship Game will be played at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.
Steelers Move onto AFC Championship
Last night The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Baltimore Ravens 31-24 and advance to the AFC Championship game. This is the fifth time the Steelers play for an AFC Championship game in the last ten years.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is 9-2 in his career against the Baltimore Ravens.
Today I will be cheering for the New York Jets to beat the New England Patriots. With a Jets win, the AFC Championship game will be played at Heinz Field.
The last Steelers game I attended was the AFC Championship against the Ravens on January 18th 2009. I’ll have to see if I can get tickets if the Jets win.

Joe Flacco was sacked four times in the second half and the Steelers held the Ravens to only three points after halftime.
Updated Steelers Desktop Theme for Windows 7
I’ve added 4 new pictures to the Steelers Theme I created for my Windows 7 PC. You can find the theme Pittsburgh_Steelers_Win7_2010.zip, in my Box.net plugin on the sidebar of this blog.
Steelers 2010 Schedule
Today the Steelers announced their 2010 schedule. I am looking forward to the new football season. I posted their schedule on my blog, and can’t wait for the 2010 football season to begin.
Steelers Playoff Scenarios
Here are the Steelers Playoff scenarios as provided by the NFL:
- Steelers win + Texans loss or tie + New York Jets loss or tie
- Steelers win + Texans loss or tie + Ravens loss or tie
- Steelers win + New York Jets loss or tie + Ravens loss or tie + Broncos loss or tie
Hopefully the Steelers will make it to the playoffs this year. If the Steelers fail to make the playoffs or are eliminated I need to deiced which team I want to back for the Super Bowl.
Steelers Desktop Theme for Windows 7
Last night I was playing around with Windows 7 and decided to make a Desktop Theme dedicated to the Pittsburgh Steelers. You can find the theme in my Box.net plugin on the sidebar of this blog. Download Pittsburgh Steelers Win7 Theme.zip to your Windows 7 PC.
Please note the theme was made on Windows 7 Enterprise. I’m not 100% sure if it works on other versions of Windows 7. I might try it on my Windows Vista PC at work. I’m really staring to like Windows 7. I think there is some real good quality in this product. I still prefer Ubuntu Linux as my OS of choice, but I think I will install a VM on my new PC and run both.
